What is the book about?
St. Vladimir's Academy is on high alert with another Strigoi attack. As winter break approaches, the guardians and family members of the students come to visit the academy, including Rose's bad-ass mother Janine. The academy is taking all the students and royals to a resort. Adrian is introduced and it seems like every other male, he has taken a special interest in Rose. His interest doesn't stop there, he also seems to be especially interested in Lissa. Rose finds out that some students have gone missing from the resort. Is Rose going to be the hero, or a tattle-tale?
What did I think of the book?
I'm only on the second book of the series and I'm already hooked. I love Richelle Mead's style. This book contained just enough action, romance, and drama for me to read into the early, early mornings. Dimitri is my favorite character so far. He's mysterious and sultry, which makes him very yummy. I love the connection that Rose and Lissa have, it's something I think all young girls, and maybe even some older ones, want in a best friend or sister. With all the changes that are happening with the Strigoi I know the rest of the books are going to be just as good!
