    Hi Liz, I've never read Anne Rice novels before though I've heard of them though. They take on a darker tone than even Bram Stoker, am I right?

    Anyway, for Twilight, I actually loved the first book. But, It just went downhill from New Moon :/

    I do believe Stephanie Meyer did a wonderful job of portraying the love between Bella and Edward. And we should not blame her of the various cliched vampire stories that flood the YA market after the rising popularity of her novels.

    However, after reading Bram Stoker's brilliant classic 'Dracula', I do prefer his vampire-- evil and murderous (and hairy)-- to the rest of the hot gorgeous vampires floating all around the YA pool.

    I love the evil and violent vampire books too! Every now and again I will pick up a YA paranormal book just for some easy reading but my true love is the more violent and scary books!!!
