This book is about Rhage. He's the most vicious brother and has a curse upon him given to him from the Scribe Virgin. He is constantly fighting the beast inside him and is afraid to get close to Mary even though she is clearly interested. Mary is the only one that can change the way he views his inner beast. She can bring out the good in him and let it shine even when he's at his most...beastly self.
