Wordy is the first descriptive word that comes to mind in reference to this book. Barry has a way of describing everything with great detail, while using literary adjectives. Inside contains a story of love, greed, relationships, and how our decisions affect the ones around us.
The book is written over a span of sixty years. As society changes, four people, two sets of siblings, they try to keep up. The theme of the book is good people doing bad things, and bad things happening to good people. A karma type theme.
Life never ends up how you imagined it would. Some fight for the life they have dreamt of, while others accept their life paths, and embrace that everything happens for a reason. The cover and title are a bit perplexing. I would easily rate this book at a 4/5.
